A PAIR OF COGSWELL & HARRISON 12-BORE SIDEPLATED BOXLOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 27030/1, circa 1900, 29 7/8in. sleeved (in 2009 (no.1) and 1961 (no.2)) nitro barrels (no.1 loose no.2 dented), the ribs engraved 'COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD. 168 PICCADILLY. W.1.' and with acanthus scroll engraving and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech-ends, the no.1 gun engraved on the ejector housing 'SLEEVED BY J. ROBERTS & SON. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and full choke in both, carved percussion fences, treble-grip actions (no.1 barrel locking bolt missing), no.1 with manual safety, no. 2 with automatic safety, with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', the actions and decorative sideplates with border, acanthus scroll and floral bouquet engraving, retaining some blacked finish, 15 3/4in. figured stocks including 1 1/2in. wooden extension and with applied foam cheek-pieces, weight 6lb. 10oz. and 7lb. 7oz.
